The Community Intervention Centre (CIC) provides free trauma, gender‑based violence (GBV), crisis intervention, and counselling services to vulnerable individuals and families who may otherwise be unable to access or afford support.
To sustain these essential services for the wider community, the CIC also offers specialised trauma support, counselling, debriefing, training, and wellness programmes to businesses, organisations, and corporate partners on a fee‑for‑service basis.
By partnering with the CIC, your organisation not only invests in the wellbeing of your employees but also helps ensure the continuation and growth of our life‑changing counselling and support services for those most in need.
Corporate services include:
- Trauma counselling and support
- Critical incident debriefing
- Employee wellness programmes
- Gender-Based Violence awareness and support
- Mental health awareness workshops
- Crisis intervention services
- Volunteer and community engagement opportunities
- Customised workplace wellness initiatives
Every corporate partnership helps us keep our community services free and accessible to those who need them most.
Our Strategic Objective
- Serve as the first line of aid and bridging facility when immediate action is necessary to reduce the trauma experienced, emotionally and physically by victims of crime until they can be referred to appropriate, professional institutions for follow-up services.
- Create and maintain an organisational network of professional and lay counsellors, who will make their time and experience available to traumatised people in the community.
- Establish a relationship with local SAPS to deliver Victim Support Services.
- Providing a free service to the Community for those unable to access or afford support.
- To provide professional training to volunteers and outsourced clients.
